Wazwan & Saffron
Kashmir's 36-dish feast, and the fields it comes from.
The route
A week built around one formal, generational Wazwan feast — and the saffron fields, kahwa rituals, and houseboat mornings around it.
Day by day
Arrival, Dal Lake by shikara
Your Travel Manager meets you at Srinagar airport and takes you straight onto Dal Lake by shikara to your houseboat — first kahwa served on the water, not in a lobby.
Old Srinagar, and the waza's kitchen
Old Srinagar's lanes on foot, then a visit arranged by your Travel Manager with a waza family who has run a Wazwan kitchen for generations — you watch, not just eat.
Pampore saffron fields
A saffron-field visit in Pampore (in season, the flowers open for one week only) followed by a hands-on Kashmiri kahwa workshop.
The 7-Trami Wazwan
The centerpiece: a formal 7-Trami Wazwan dinner, the full sequence of dishes served the traditional way, hosted with the same waza family from Day 2.
Mughal gardens, free afternoon
Nishat and Shalimar gardens in the morning; the afternoon is yours — your Travel Manager can arrange pashmina or papier-mâché workshop visits on request.
Send-off
A final houseboat breakfast, packing help, and an airport drop timed to your flight.
